Precision Linear Motion Spline


     
      The ball spline is a kind of linear motion system. When the spline nut makes linear movement along the precisely ground shaft by balls inside, the torque is transferred. The spline has compact structure. It can transfer the over load and motive power. It has longer lifetime.
      At present our company manufactures three kinds of spline, namely convex ball spline, concave ball spline and end housing ball spline. Generally the convex ball spline can bear larger radial load and transfer more torque than the other two kinds.
     According to the nut type, there are two kinds of convex spline-cylindrical and square. It has three convex upper rails sharing equally in excircle of spline shaft, and balls are running in certain six loading paths formed by convex upper parts of the three rails and the respective sections of spline nut.
     The groove is processed nearly the same as ball diameter after precisely ground. When the torque is forced from the spline shaft to the spline nut or from the spline nut to the spline shaft, the balls transform the torque steadily and equally since the clearance in the spline is interference fit. The balls are doing reciprocating circulation between the groove and reflux slot when the spline nut and spline shaft making relative linear movement.
     Spline shaft is made of high-grade alloy steel with middle frequency quenching HRC58, and spline nut is made of high-grade alloy steel with cementite quenching HRC58, so it has long service life and intensity.

     The ball spline can make the clearance of rotating direction to be controlled to zero value or interference fit, it has high-speed motion and rotating with compact structure and simple assembling. (Balls won't fall off even without the spline shaft, except for end housing type)
